People often ask me where our product names come from.
The honest answer? Everywhere. 😄

They mostly turn up while I’m going about my life. Mid-shampoo, belting out a 90s ballad. Halfway around the block with the pup. Elbow-deep in dinner. Something will catch my ear or make me laugh, and there it is.
The rest are born the old-fashioned way: a few of us standing around on the factory floor, throwing ideas back and forth until someone blurts out, “That’s it!” Plenty of laughs, and plenty of terrible ideas that thankfully never make the cut.
And every now and then one of you, our Woohoo Crew, comes up with a cracker, which is my favourite way for a name to arrive.
Wherever they come from, one thing stays the same: we choose names that capture a feeling, tell a story or make you smile.
Some are inspired by the sensory experience of using the product. Take ‘Cloud 9’ Deep Cleansing Balm. We wanted a name that reflected that blissful, floating-on-a-cloud feeling your skin has after a beautiful cleanse, while also giving a nod to the balm’s soft, cushiony, cloud-like texture.
‘Raindrops’ Hydrating Face Mist brings to mind the refreshing feeling of tiny droplets quenching thirsty skin, but was inspired by The Sound of Music (“raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens…”)! ‘Serenity’ Hyaluronic Body Serum is all about creating a sense of calm and comfort as part of your daily body care ritual.
Then there are the products inspired by how they leave you feeling. ‘Over the Moon’ Rich Repair Cream is for those moments when your skin feels so nourished you can’t help but be delighted. ‘Sweet Dreams’ Night Cream is a comforting nod to your evening skincare ritual, while ‘Perfectly Happy’ Light Vitamin C Cream celebrates healthy-looking, happy skin that positively glows.
Other names are simply there to make you chuckle. ‘Kicks and Giggles’ Coffee Body Scrub was born from the idea that exfoliating shouldn’t feel clinical, it should be fun! As for ‘Pig-In-Mud’ Mineral Mask? If you’ve ever seen a pig happily rolling around in the mud, you’ll get the gist (I couldn’t resist).
Then there are the names with a little secret hidden inside. Our ‘FG’ Serums originally stood for Fairy Godmother because that’s exactly what we imagined them to be, skincare magic in a bottle.
We also love creating names that give you a bit of a pep talk. ‘You’ve Got This’ Charcoal Cleansing Gel, ‘Make My Day’ Bio-Retinol Gel Cream and ‘This Is Me’ Enzyme Exfoliator are all little reminders to back yourself, embrace your uniqueness and start the day with confidence.
We also can’t look past the cheeky ones. ‘You Crack Me Up!’ Lip Balm was inspired by a clever little pun and yes… we were pretty pleased with ourselves!
You’ll notice that some are refreshingly literal. Armpit Detox Mask and Black Seed Oil tell you exactly what they are, while others are all about turning self care into something worth celebrating (looking at you ‘3 Cheers’ Cleansing Oil).
Some are inspired by familiar sayings, like ‘Spoonful of Sugar’ Exfoliating Scrub, ‘Laugh Out Loud’ Nourishing Facial Oil and ‘All Things Nice’ Multipurpose Balm.
Our natural deodorant scents are no exception. They’ve all got personalities of their own! Rather than being predictable, we wanted names that feel vibrant, playful and full of character. Whether it’s ‘Pop’, ‘Wild’, ‘Mellow’, ‘Tux’ or ‘Tango’, each one is designed to spark a feeling before you’ve even taken the lid off.
And the list goes on…!
Deodorant, skincare and haircare are products most of us use every single day. We think those little everyday moments deserve a little more fun, a little more personality and a whole lot more Woohoo.
